Wild Kids Academy

As of the 2020-2021 school year, all high school students are able to participate in the Wild Kids community through the Wild Kids Academy. This group has multiple initiatives around Le Jardin’s campus and in the Kailua community. The WK Academy meets Mondays and Thursdays during school hours where they tackle service projects such as making hiking trails for outdoor immersion, working at Na Pohaku to restore native forests, promoting environmentally-friendly policies on our campus, etc.

General Council

Wild Kids would not be in its current state if it were not for the “wild kids” that embody it. With this same concept in mind, Wild Kids should be run by wild kids. The General Council is made up of high schoolers who spend time outside and inside of school engaging with their community and organizing events, including fundraisers, conferences and outdoor excursions. The General Council members meet on a monthly basis to review issues, successes, and upcoming events. The members are hand picked through an application process by the executive council and its advisors. These council members are also candidates for the Executive Council.

Executive Council

The Wild Kids Executive Council was put into place to fulfill an organized leadership role. The executive council consists of about 15 seniors seniors who have been dedicated members of the Wild Kids General Council and community. These members are all exemplar Wild Kids and embody the Wild Kids philosophy. They hold the responsibility of leading the High School Stewardship Council. The council oversees the organization of most events and dedicate hours of their week to the Wild Kids community.
