Semester 2: Session 2 (April 9th-June 1st)

5th-6th Wild Explorers: Mondays and Thursdays

Our goal for this session is to help 5th graders with their transition to middle school by bonding with our 6th grade group. At the same time, we hope that our 6th graders will rise as leaders, preparing them to move on to 7th grade. This session will be staffed by our Montana Guides and Junior Counselors, as an opportunity for those going to Montana this summer to get to know their leaders better. However, to be clear, the session is for everyone, not only Montana participants. The focus for the session will be exploring the forest, finding new trails and new areas of the forest to connect with. We will meet on Mondays and Thursdays at the green tables by the high school. Each day, our adventures will begin at 3:30pm and end at 5:30pm. Pick-up will be at the green tables by the high school.

7th-8th Wild Survival: Mondays and Thursdays

Our goal for this session is to build confidence in the outdoors through the acquisition of survival skills, including lashing, starting a fire, finding food and water, orienteering, basic first aid and "MacGyvering." This session will be staffed by our Montana Guides and Junior Counselors, as an opportunity for those going to Montana this summer to get to know their leaders better. However, to be clear, the session is for everyone, not only Montana participants. We will meet on Mondays and Thursdays at the green tables by the high school. Each day, our adventures will begin at 3:30pm and end at 5:30pm. Pick-up will be at the green tables by the high school.

K-4Th Wild art: Tuesdays

Our focus for Wild Art is creativity and innovation. Art projects will be nature based and include both permanent and impermanent installations, as well as performance art opportunities. Students should bring a nature journal in which to keep sketches and scrapbook items. Kindergarten participants will be picked up from their classrooms at 2:30pm and use the time before other students get out of school to change into their Wild Kids clothes, eat a snack and prepare for the adventure. 1st-4th grade students will meet at the Look-Out when they are released from class. All students will be picked up at the green tables by the high school building at 5:00pm.

5th-8th Wild Art: Wednesdays
