Our Fresh Air Excursion to the Wa'ahila Ridge Trail has been rescheduled for
Saturday, January 6th, 9:00-12:00 am.
During our weekend hikes, we encourage our Wild Families (Mom, Dad, sisters, brothers, and even pets (on a leash!) to join us and experience first hand what it means to embrace your inner wild child!
It is critical that we get a headcount so we can plan accordingly regarding guides.
Please RSVP using this Google Form by Thursday, December 7th to let us know how many members of your family will be in attendance or if your child will be attending on their own. It's also important to let us know on the form if your Wild Kid will be carpooling with another family.
Meeting Location: Sunday, November 12th. We will meet at 9:00 am at the Wa'ahila Ridge trailhead. Pick up is at 12:00 pm.
Directions: Please see the DLNR website for directions: Wa'ahia Ridge Information
- Wild Kids are expected to carry their own backpacks.
- Review our packing list here. Each child must bring two bottles of water and a snack.
- Depending on rain, it can get quite mosquito-infested. The best plan is to bring long pants and a light long sleeve shirt to change into if you are getting attacked.
- Everyone can hike at a pace that is enjoyable for them. This is a combined K-2nd, Wild Art, and 5th-7th hike, however, the younger kids do not have to keep up with the middle schoolers. We will make sure that no one gets left behind!
